The economic crisis in Sri Lanka sadly remains, impacting even the most basic necessities. Supermarket shelves are often bare, and what little is available is imported. For example, eggs now come from India, meaning a huge price increase and difficult to afford.Thankfully, Alfy has renovated an old chicken coop, and now 50 chickens call it home, providing enough for 2 to 3 eggs per person each week. Another meaningful step towards making Home of Hope self-sufficient.
